The Classic in Bora Bora Blue is very possibly the most popular Anderson guitar in Japan, and this Anniversary one is going home. Throughout the years, The Classic specced in a similar manner has appeared on many professional stages around the world. Our beloved friends at J.E.S International will be receiving this very special guitar for Japan—and perhaps beyond. Very auspicious.
As we stated in earlier posts, this year marks Anderson Guitarworks 40 Year Anniversary. Celebrating 40 years of excellence in guitar building. Only 40 Elite, Limited Edition Guitars will be made available in celebration. The first time we have ever done any kind of Limited Edition run—very special.
40 Guitars, 20 unique builds. This essentially means two renditions of each exclusive instrument—with a variant here and there.
A brief history of The Classic: This model was so named because of its uniquely elevated Anderson advancements that first appeared on the scene all those years ago. The Classic was a complete revolution to the classic S-style instrument—elevating every aspect to an entirely new level of high performance—with many new options available if so desired. Importantly, this was all beautifully accomplished with its pure vintage heart remaining soundly intact—because those are our roots as well. A soulful, classic guitar experience made so much better than it had ever been before.
This now revered look is courtesy of its Swamp Ash body’s telltale, elongated wood grain patterns, swirling beneath Anderson’s signature, transparent Bora Bora Blue finish.
