This Shell Pink, Wolfhound’s power-punch is augmented by its Okoume body, Mahogany, Rosewood fingerboard neck, 24 3/4-inch scale length and top-mounded Tune-O-matic bridge and tailpiece, which lessen string tension over the saddles. All of these factors cumulatively coordinate to mount a musical barrage of desirable midrange focus.
For those unfamiliar, Okoume is often confused with Mahogany because it is so similar looking and sounding, but Okoume’s tonal bounty is that of Mahogany on performance-enhancing drugs (the legal ones, of course)—fat, full, warm, and legato, flowing freely.
