What Is That Glowing Orange?
/Are you talking about the glow that is rising over the darkened mountains, casting rays of hope and jubilance? The dawn?
Well, yes, okay, that too. And since we are momentarily talking about natural phenomena, with a small amount of introspection, you can easily become aware of that inner glow that transforms our outer circumstances, transitioning our world into a place of kindness for all. Let’s do that now. Very good. Once you have experienced bliss, no one wants to turn back, but you need to have experienced it at least once, or you will not yet know of the bliss you miss.
But what we initially started out to talk about in this tale is music and its unmitigated power to uplift, transporting player and listener alike to a healing space. Today, this magnificent Wolfhound radiates from a brand-new Anderson Orange Glow color—hence the Glowing Orange intro.
And with that, “Wolfie” is back. Back in the limelight. It has been since the NAMM Show that Wolfhound has appeared in the pages of Guitar Tales. Now, it is here again.
This one is very special indeed. Grab your chair and pull up closer. From this distance, you can see the finer details of Orange Glow finish attributes.
Wolfhound is simply a superb instrument to play, in every way. Nimble, light and formidable is the first thing you will unavoidably notice as you hold it close. One strum pronounces it ridiculously resonant and stunningly powerful. You may just want to go about your entire day with it strapped on—never taking it off.
“Say, Pete, what is that guitar you have been wearing all day long at work while spontaneously breaking into song? Is it new? Oh My Gosh, that is not a new Anderson Guitarworks Wolfhound, is it? I have so wanted to actually see one in person.”
(Or some other similarly silly scenario.)
The musical force of this wondrous Wolfhound is brought into focus via its short-scale architecture (24 3/4-inch scale length) and Mahogany neck topped by a rich Rosewood Fingerboard. But this new Wolfie springs forward in the mix, propelled by its more specialized Spanish Cedar body—giving it an additional lighthearted, effervescent take on signature Mahogany projections—for a more multidimensional and open tonal palette than is normally experienced from this type of instrument.
Crank all this through a pair of powerfully lush HC1 and HC2 pickups via super simple controls that yield 8 tonal combinations, and you have a guitar that can comfortably play almost every style of music you care to make—in a world of your making.
This distinctive guitar is headed to Distinctive Guitar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin—a fabulous store that has a small secret and super cool stash of over-the-top Anderson Guitars available. And they won’t last long.
It is now time to rise and radiate with a new glow.
