Edge on, green and purple striations. Rotate right and purple pervades. Push it farther round and fiery violet comes to life. All the while outlining angles can be haunted by charcoal and black shadows.

It is Mystichrome—a prismatic, color shifting paint. Created by BASF for the Ford motor company. It first appeared as “Mystic” for the Mustang Cobra in 1996. Later, it was reformulated as Mystichrome for even more drama on the 2004 Mustang Cobra—a very fast car with a paint option that has become legendary.
