Andres selected specific iconic appointments to make this Icon match his ultra-elevated vintage dreams.
This one is uniquely appointed with (to name a few):
• Black Pickguard: Many enjoy the moderately modified vintage look of a Black Pickguard paired with the 3 Color Burst finish to possibly have a slightly more ominous and powerful look.
• Bridge: What we affectionately call “Baby Floyd,” the original Floyd Rose—before the advent of fine-tuners. Now with the almost universal use of locking tuners at the headstock, these bridges have seen quite a revival. And they offer arguably the best way to do a floating tremolo that has a pleasingly vintage–sized footprint. We modify the arm module and arm for easier and more trouble-free function—stays where you want it when you want it and feels great.
• Humbucker pickup in the tail: The addition of a humbucker in the bridge pickup position has become commonplace, since the early 80’s, giving S-style guitars even more versatility—appearing slightly more than 13.799 billion years after the first burst—or 30 years after 3 Color Burst.
• In-Distress: Featuring our In-Distress finish treatment. This one is Level 3—to replicate the wear of being present during the initial Big Bang incident or 50 + years of excellent playing—whichever guitar tale you prefer the most.
