The Power Within:
At its very core, an ultra-resonant Mahogany body-back lays a formidable foundation for this Bobcat’s focus and power—additionally elevated by its Mahogany neck-back, Blackheart fingerboard and shorter, 24 3/4-inch scale length.
Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece reduce saddle-to-string tension from that of a traditional tremolo bridge, further proliferating a more mid-only tonal character.
Most visibly notable is its gorgeous Carved Maple Top that crowns Bobcat with elegant grace and audio articulation simultaneously. This particular Bobcat, finished in Natural Purple to Transparent Purple to Black Burst, was custom ordered with a Quilted Maple top. Flame Maple is the standard appointment and is wonderful too.
Bobcat’s fit and finish are so well refined that it not only sits nicely on your lap but is also nimble and svelte to handle when standing or bounding about the stage.
Countersunk Pickup Rings, Bridge and Tailpiece reduce the deck height of the strings off the body while enabling super-comfortable tilt-back neck-to-body geometry, which all leads to ridiculously fast, flowing and fluid playability.
All Anderson humbucks pontificate with a remarkably musical voice that is very adept at making full use of Big 3-Way switching and “cut” switches for each pickup; yielding 8 wonderful, multidimensional tones from this two pickup layout.
