Even better, this Angel’s playability is profoundly unparalleled while its HSH pickup layout presents its Alder timbre with enhanced maple top pronunciation through a super-musical set of HC1, SC1, HC3 pickups. Control is granted by intuitively familiar 5-Way switching that functions simply and can also deliver a multitude of various tonal combinations from full humbuck to surprisingly stellar single coil tones—while also making use of the extra saturation an HC3 has to offer when compared to the overwound vintage tones of an HC2 and HC2+.
