No, not a Dr. Seuss story but one of the coolest guitars ever.
It’s The Classic in Black with Green Dog Hair finish.
This is the first time we have seen The Classic finished in this dramatic “dog” color.
To do a Dog Hair finish requires a body wood of either Swamp Ash or Okoume (an excellent mahogany-like wood). Ash is distinguished by its signature elongated grain, as seen here on this gasp-invoking axe.
Swamp Ash sonically presents itself with a gorgeous, open, airy and super-musical voice, imparting a plethora of sweet, multi dimensional nuances and overtones.
Highlighted in white and nickel atop its complementary black pickguard, the now-ubiquitous Single/Single/ Humbucker pickup layout was initially applied to the S-style guitar many years ago to lift versatility to a whole other dimension than had been seen previously. It is like having two guitars in one; two completely different types of electric guitar sounds from one instrument.
Still a fantastic electric layout, we make sure it sings with Anderson balance, finesse, richness and power—just gorgeous timbre all around.
