Lockup Your Bobcat - NAMM Fun 4
/I mean, look at what that “cat” did to the neighbor’s yard. Well no, not your neighbor’s exactly but look what it did to your guitar playing friends when you plugged in for the first time.
Anderson envy?
Thick single-cut tonality, massive and musical mid-focus—and with pitch shifting. What is going on? And of course, best of all, wonderful Anderson playability—like a “jet.”
But wait…you can’t just lock up a Bobcat. They are wild and meant to run free.
Yes, that is true. But we are talking about something completely different. We are talking about the new: Bobcat Locker.
Bobcat Locker is our bold, single-cut Bobcat guitar, locked up with a locking tremolo—at both the bridge and the nut.
To harmoniously facilitate this radical and versatile attribute with the most care and attention to every detail of form and sound, the neck back that supports the “Locker’s” function is Maple (rather than Mahogany)—still with a rich fingerboard of either Rosewood, Ziricote or Blackheart.
In this case it happens to be our Chocolate Maple neck back and a Rosewood fingerboard that is properly covering structural duties. This allows for the locking nut to seat, stay and lock properly while pitch shifts are handled with wonderful stability.
So good.
