What If?

You woke up, watched the magnificence of the sunrise over the garden, did your morning meditation and stretching, came downstairs, got a cup of coffee or tea, walked into your studio and shockingly noticed that your blue guitar had turned red—completely changed its color—apparently overnight?

What then? What would you do?

You probably should know what this could be like just in case it happens to you? Experts say, it’s always best to prepare for a supernatural, unexplainable, overnight, anomalous color shift. Right!?

So, check out last week’s Guitar Tales, a Top T Classic in Blue WakeSurf. Compare it to this week’s. An obvious an undeniable red shift as the universe expands and galaxies move away from each other...or…a Top T Classic appears to change color right before our very eyes. Now Natural Red Burst bursting forth. What is up with this guitar anyway? Why is it now red?

Alarming.

This looks like a guitar case for the UGCSTF (Unexplainable Guitar Color Shift Task Force). We picked up the red emergency phone and were instantly connected to their hotline. Deeply concerned and feeling that this was a color emergency at the highest level, the GCSTF dispatched their most skillful guitar color change detective to get to the bottom of it all.

Moments later, sirens blazing, inspector Hugh Topcoat arrived on the scene—wearing a…ah…detective’s topcoat. With his keen eye, and ear, and penchant for cutting right to the heart of the matter (even though, his will gets weak, and his thoughts seem to scatter) he unraveled the mystery almost instantly.

He kindly elucidated,

“Elementary my dear Anderson. By the way, what is in your coffee or tea, anyway? Using my keen powers of visual and audio observation, I have deduced that we definitely have a color shift here. But not because the guitar changed color overnight. In actuality these are two entirely different guitars. Look very closely. And you will notice…“

“This Top T Classic in Natural Red Burst, is very different from the Blue WakeSurf of last week’s Guitar Tales.”

“‘Red’ has a Swamp Ash body back with a Natural finish creating a gorgeous complementary contrast and blending exquisitely well with its traditional all-Maple neck—crowned with a beautiful redhead…stock that is. Red Headstock.”

“The bridge is Anderson’s elevated and exclusive vintage tremolo for well functioning pitch movement, when needed, and impeccable intonation and tone—always.”

“An HC1- humbucker concealed under a shining Nickel Cover grants power to the neck position while staying reasonably in balance with the hum-cancelling TF3 angled at the back. 5 fast and furious, hum-cancelling and super-musical tones can be instantaneously accessed with the flick of an intuitive 5-Way switch, like this:”

“1 = Neck - full power”

“2 = Neck - single coil sound”

“3 = Neck - full power + Bridge”

“4 = Neck - single coil sound + Bridge”

“5 = Bridge”

Inspector Hugh continued,

“So as you can now clearly see, you do not need to be the least bit concerned about supernatural, unexplainable, overnight, anomalous color shifts. Not a real thing. What is real is that you can choose from a vast array of gorgeous colors to finish your Anderson—clearly and delightfully the world’s best playing and sounding electric guitar, not to mention darn good looking—according to the UGCSTF and players all around the world. Now, who can argue with that kind of sound logic?”
