The Color Of 40

It’s the legendary Anderson Cobra!

Defined by: Mahogany body back, Mahogany neck back and short 24 3/4-inch scale length.

When Cobra first rolled out of the Anderson Guitarworks’ “garage,” it was (and still is) a high-performance, midrange-manifesting monster that set the guitar playing world back on its ear.

Yes, we know you probably know by now that for our 40th Anniversary we are offering only 40 fantastic Limited Edition Guitars to be sold through 40 select dealers. It’s a celebration, for sure. There are 20 unique builds. This essentially means two renditions of each exclusive instrument—20 varying colors and specs.

As the joy of the Anderson Guitarworks, 40th Anniversary celebration continues, together we may like to ask ourselves a fun question:

What is the color that officially represents the celebratory festivities for 40 years? What is the shade that has been historically designated to stand for such a momentous milestone?

Could it be…Cajun Red?

Very possibly so, because…

Red does officially signify 40 years. Red and the ruby gemstone—which is said to symbolize passion, loyalty and devotion. Here at Anderson Guitarworks we also say it simultaneously symbolizes the best playing, feeling and sounding 40 years of guitar playing ever.

And the other secret aspect about this exclusive group of 40…

All of these Limited Edition Guitars feature spectacular specs with a callout to our illustrious guitar building history and tradition. As such, we will be providing clues as to how each one may fit into our rich lineage.

With this guitar—the Cajun Red Cobra, with a trio of PQ pickups ready to come out and play…

Many may feel this one stands alone. One guitar. A lone star, so to speak. Or should we have spelled it Lonestar?

Well maybe this really is so. What do you think?

Now to be found at Main Street Music & Sound (notice how that rhymes? We do it all the time) in Irwin, Pennsylvania. A really great store with really great people.
