Might Marty be a genius?
/Might Marty be a genius? Or the luckiest guitar player ever? One way or the other, yes, Marty made out! Marty got his Cobra from Brian’s Guitars in Connecticut. Man, don’t they have good taste in guitars over there?
Arctic Blue Burst on a “tubular” quilted Maple top. Can blue find a better way to express itself—probably not?!
But that is not nearly the best of it. The best of it is: positioning it all on an Anderson Cobra!
For those who do not know the actual relation: Cobra is to “T” as Suberbird is to Raven.
Both Cobra (the original) and Superbird are defined by:
Shorty Scale Length - 24 3/4-inchFull-Mahogany Construction - both body and neck back
The result is a formidable offering in their respective body styles that have no aggressive rock equal. Their resulting tone just crushes and easily dominates every situation.
Plus, they play like lightning—but of course, they are Anderson through and through—from the tips of their mahogany necks to the tails of their beautifully sculpted mahogany bodies.
Cobra - a further history…for those that want to know more “guitar stuff.”:
Cobra…yes. Cobra is the one…the one that started it all.
What all!? :
Shorty Scale Length - 24 3/4-inchAll-Mahogany Construction - both body and neck back
Why would we do that?
Done properly and with care, this is the solid foundation from which a focused midrange “machine” can make other guitars and their players weep when trying to keep up with muscular and crushingly powerful rock tones (or smooth jazz for that matter).
Yes, Cobra was the original guitar to which we applied this formidable format bringing the “T” world a whole new voice of power.
Once Cobra (T) became an Anderson “main player,” we immediately had to add Cobra S—but of course. In good conscience, we could not deny “S” guitar players these types of accelerated attributes. And the “S” world also got a whole new voice, as well.
Years later…
When Raven appeared (you know the coolest offset guitar of all time) it did not take long for someone to want even more “smoke” from this layout.
Enter: Superbird.
And you know what this is all about now, thanks to its Cobra brethren…
A Raven with:
Shorty Scale Length - 24 3/4-inchAll-Mahogany Construction - both body and neck back
The result: Crushing tone and wonderful playing satisfaction!
And all thanks to an Anderson Cobra!
