No One Even Knew It Was There Until…

You’ve undoubtedly already laid eyes upon this spectacularly distinctive and colorful maple top that has been dropped upon this Limited Edition, 40th Anniversary Drop Top. This unique wood was especially selected by Tom himself for another Happy 40th Anniversary “masterpiece.”

Tom chose this particular top because he also finds beauty and delight in a darker, more dramatic maple, where the wood’s inherent coloration becomes the major influencer of the guitar’s overall visual presentation. This one’s naturally deep and earthy look is only vignetted by a Transparent Honey, bursted just on the outside edge of the guitar’s perimeter.

And yes, as you know by now, we are in the midst of our Anderson Guitarworks, 40 Year Anniversary celebration—so fun. In honor of this auspicious occasion we are offering only 40 very special, Limited Edition Guitars—20 unique builds. This essentially means two renditions of each exclusive instrument—with a variant here and there.

But where do they come from—a maple top this unique, I mean? Well of course from beautiful, renewable resource trees but beyond that, where do we find such exquisite examples of nature’s beauty?

But no one even knew it was there until…

Tom temporarily disappeared and then reappeared with this special 40th Anniversary Colorful Maple Top.

Where did he go? Some may think this tale mere fantasy but it has been said that Tom keeps a Top Tom Secret stash of wood…

Under his desk.

There is a portal—not to another dimension in time but to another dimension of wood. Tom’s secret stash.

Stepping through the threshold, you are led to an unseen stairway, spiraling downward and opening up into an expansive and highly protected underground vault containing…

No one knows for sure, for no one has actually seen inside. But it is certainly a good thing that the Anderson Guitarworks guard dogs love him so much.

The proof of this vault’s veritable validation may be in this 40th Anniversary Drop Top.

Not only is this 40th Drop Top gorgeous but it plays like metaphoric butter, so fluid and pleasing.  And it can sing with a choir of angelic beings, both because of its superior construction and its wonderful electronic, switching and pickup presentation.

This one made its way across the “pond” and into the hands of our British friends at Peach Guitars in Colchester, Great Britain—a beautiful store with beautiful people.
